Section 1 - Understanding the challenges and risks of implementation and ongoing MS 365 maintenance
1.1. What are the challenges organisations must overcome to ensure ongoing D365 quality and specifically, what key risks should be considered?
1.2 Please also describe the attributes of a successful Dynamics 365 Quality Engineering programme?
1.3 How do you identify and manage the impact of regular updates from Microsoft?
Section 2 - Planning for successful quality assurance
In 2020, Testhouse completed a survey that revealed 66% of respondents do not test their D365 after an update and similarly, that they had not thought of QA for D365. 99% agreed that implementing QA could provide a 90% reduction in production issues and a 70% increase in product efficiency through independent verification and validation.
2.1. What quality assurance related challenges did you experience during the project that you weren’t expecting? And what lessons were learned after the implementation?
Section 3 - Testing best practices
3.1 What advice can you offer when configuring and customising the platform to provide the required functionality whilst maintaining simplicity and usability?
3.2 Significant effort is required to manually test the core functionality and ensure changes have not affected business-critical processes. With that in mind, test automation is the key to managing continuous updates. How was test automation implemented in your programme and what were the business benefits experienced?
3.3 Moving on to non-functional areas, what are the potential areas that would affect D365?
3.4 What have been the lessons learnt in your recent releases? If you had a chance to change the way you were testing, what would you change?
