Frequently Asked Questions For Video eMagazine Participants

Please read these FAQs to help you prepare for your Zoom video interview.

1. What is the objective of my zoom video interview?

To explore your experiences and opinions around various topics for the creation of a Video eMagazine, which is shared widely on LinkedIn.

2. What value will I get from participating?

You will get to see how your peer group is tackling similar challenges and be acknowledged on LinkedIn. Your video will be viewed by hundreds of industry professionals.

3. How do I book my interview?

We send you a calendly link which has an open diary, usually giving you a choice of any slot between 9am and 5pm UK and US East Coast time over the next 2 weeks. Once you have booked, we match you to an available interviewer and send out a Zoom conference bridge and meeting invitation. You will also receive a few ‘welcome emails’ from us. Once confirmed, we also request your best headshot photo and short bio (300 characters) in advance of your interview.

4. How do I prepare for the interview?

The interview guide (see Live Interviews) will set the scene and include the range of questions you will be asked during your interview. The reason you have been invited to interview is because you have the insight to provide a valuable contribution to the publication.

5. What happens if I’m running late or I can’t make my scheduled interview?

We understand that other priorities may take precedence over your TechPros.io interview. In advance of your interview, you will receive the name and contact details of your interviewer so you can let them know if you are running late. If you need to reschedule simply ‘reply all’ to the calendar invitation with your proposed new times.

6. What is the format of the interview?

Your video interview will be conducted on Zoom. Your interview will last 25-30 minutes. After you have completed the Q&A, your interviewer will make you aware of any follow on calls, if necessary, as well as when you can expect the publication to be released.

7. What happens after the interview?

Feedback is important to us, so we invite you to rate your experience and share a few comments via a private online form. Our Sponsor watches your video and selects parts they are particularly interested in and works with our producer to timestamp your video. We share the video file with you along with the timestamps so you can review the sections we are interested in including in the magazine.

8. Approving your video contributions

Since we are working to deadlines, we ask you to confirm by email within one week that you are happy for the specific sections of your video interview to be included. We will follow up with you by email and phone to seek your approval. If we don’t hear back from you, we will go ahead and include your video in the magazine.
