Telecoms network operations centers have seen significant changes in demand recently, requiring telco leaders to innovate their processes and technology and reskill the workforce. We will be interviewing senior leaders in Network, Engineering and Technical Operations across America, Canada and Europe on two topics of their choice out of the following: 1. Customer churn reduction - Issues driving customer churn and improving customer experience This exciting survey will explore experiences and opinions around each topic, for the creation of the first edition of TechPros .ioTelecommunications Industry eMagazine, to be released later this year. Each participant will be kept informed on the progress.

Topic 1 - Network Resilience and Disaster Response
- What, in your view, are the main threats to network resilience and where are the biggest opportunities for improving disaster response for Network Operations Centers?
- How important is it to empower field workers to capture and act on data more efficiently?
Topic 2 - The Field Worker Experience
- Attracting the next generation of field workers in an already depleted workforce is a challenge for many telecoms companies. Is that a challenge you have and what do you think can be done to attract younger generations into field worker jobs?
- The Covid pandemic has been the catalyst to change in many industries. What changes to the workplace and the field worker experience have you seen in your business?
Topic 3 - Customer Churn Reduction
- According to one industry report, churn rates for US telecoms providers in 2020 were 21%. Yet Computer Weekly magazine reports that mobile operators spend approximately 15% of their revenues on network infrastructure and IT — but a whopping 15 to 20% of revenues on the acquisition and retention of customers. In your opinion, is customer churn a major issue for your business specifically and the industry more generally? What role do you think efficient network infrastructure maintenance and rapid response to network issues plays in reducing customer churn?
- Where do you think is the best place for NOC and field operations to improve the customer experience?
