From archives to assets: Exploring media monetisation in the age of AI
What's this research about?
Media organisations hold extensive content archives, yet many are still determining how to fully monetise these collections. As technology reshapes content management and distribution methods and audiences move from broadcast to streaming platforms, companies face decisions about how to proceed. With AI and cloud technologies maturing rapidly, the opportunity cost of delayed action continues to grow.
This research sets out to understand how senior media professionals view the commercial possibilities within their archives. We want to hear from companies at different stages - from those beginning to assess their options, to those already implementing new approaches to content management and distribution.
The research will explore current practices in content discovery, distribution and audience engagement, alongside examining how companies plan to adapt their operations for future content delivery.
As a participant, you will have the opportunity to share your perspectives on key industry topics including:
- The commercial potential within media archives
- Industry experiences with new technology adoption
- Common challenges in content management
- Approaches to audience-specific content delivery
- The development of new commercial models
- Methods for measuring success and return on investment
You will be featured in a market view report and along with up to 3 colleagues are invited to an evening networking event hosted by Google and Globant in London on March 6th where the research findings will be presented along with a talk from an industry expert (TBC).
