Adapting to Climate Change: How insurance leaders are building resilience to survive the threat from emerging risks
What's this research about?
Climate Risk Assessment is nothing new for insurers, however, the frequency of flooding, wildfires, windstorms, higher sea level rises, drought and other natural disasters are increasing at an alarming rate without clear predictability.
With the immediate impact on the potential volume and variety of insurance claims, the industry will need to shift its focus to better understand and predict risks caused by climate change, and to be better equipped to take precautions to help minimise these risks for clients.
This research, sponsored by Esri UK, will feature the views and insights from 18 insurance leaders on how insurance providers are challenging traditional working processes to improve risk management. TechPros.io will be publishing an eBook with the findings from the interviews in August 2022.

Insurers need to understand and manage risks – before, during, and after an event. The impact of climate risk varies regionally across the world and can vary substantially within individual countries. In evaluating climate risk, how important do you think it is to consider these geographic variations?
