As part of our thought leadership programme: Resilient, Agile and Connected: How IT & Business leaders are redefining tomorrow's winning enterprise infrastructure, Tata Communications is sponsoring a TechPros.io exclusive Virtual Roundtable event at 2:30pm BST, Tuesday 24th May.
This invitation-only, TechPros.io moderated event, will bring together a select few enterprise business and technology leaders from the manufacturing industry to put forward and vote on challenges and/or ideas relating to the subject and then take it in turns to ask questions and put forward solutions to these challenges.
The 90-minute virtual roundtable event is not recorded, it follows Chatham House rules and is highly interactive. All participants are invited to share ideas and experiences with industry peers facing similar challenges and opportunities.

Topics influencing the session:
Digital Transformation of the manufacturing industry in a post pandemic world. How will manufacturing be transformed and what role will technology play? From homebound employees, empty shop floors, frozen or disrupted supply chains to cancelled orders, business for manufacturers slowed or came to an abrupt halt at the height of the pandemic. Technology played a huge role in keeping the lights on through the lockdowns and will play an increasingly important role in helping manufacturers to thrive in the future. Join this round table to discuss:
- Right-sizing and modernising the network infrastructure to build an efficient, agile, and secure foundation for digital enterprise by leveraging cloud technologies.
- Adapting supply chains to become more customer-centric and deliver improved customer experience
- Security measures to consider in a highly digitised supply chain and expanded digital estate
- Hybrid Workplace – how best to bring together factory floor staff, HQ staff with those working remotely
Example challenges include: 1) Digitising the supply chain and adoption of new technologies requires a robust, secure and agile network. How can we modernise our network infrastructure to support the end-to-end digitisation of our supply chain needs? 2) In a post pandemic world, how do we rebuild our business and customer confidence when clients actively avoid in-person interactions, sales cycles are mostly low-touch, and pre and post-purchase interaction is largely digital?
3) While our customers still want the ‘personal touch’ they want it without the ‘physical touch’ – how can we use technology to improve your buying process?

Further information:
A maximum of six participants will attend. There’s no cost other than your time. You must ensure you attend with your video switched on. Given the tight timescales, we do insist that you join the session on time so there are no delays, and you will be required to give your full attention for 90 mins.
What is the objective of the virtual roundtable event? To share thoughts and ideas on manufacturing strategies. To give to, and take from, your co-participants in equal measure.
What is the format of the event?
This event format is designed to inspire, guide, and motivate participants with its highly interactive nature. It is based on a format widely used by mentor membership organisations for CEOs, such as Vistage and the Academy of Chief Executives.
Beforehand, each participant will submit a thought-provoking business challenge or idea relating to the event theme. These are circulated and voted on with the most popular two discussed at the event. Each participant will take their turn to question the challenge owner on the subject and later give their advice.
What value will I get from attending? We hope that you go away with some fresh thinking to help you shape your manufacturing strategy and will have also made some new industry connections.
Will the session be recorded? No. In full respect of the Chatham House Rules, the virtual roundtable will not be recorded. Participants need not worry about any information being shared outside of the session.
