VIRTUAL ROUNDTABLE EXPERIENCE

Laggards and Leaders: Fast-Tracking Financial Technology Innovation in a Legacy Ecosystem

As part of our thought leadership programme Laggards and Leaders: Fast-Tracking Financial Technology Innovation in a Legacy Ecosystem, sponsored by Modulr, TechPros.io held an exclusive, Banking Virtual Roundtable event on Tuesday 29th June at 2:00pm BST.

This invitation-only, TechPros moderated event, brought together CEOs and industry experts from across the Banking ecosystem. Some participants had already been featured in a research report on the topic, supported by interviews with C-Suite representatives from companies such as HSBC, Bank or Ireland, Cumberland Building Society, and many more.

The event format was highly interactive, all participants invited to share ideas and experiences with industry peers facing similar challenges and opportunities.

Topics influencing the session:

Fintech innovation is pivotal throughout many business sectors, from banking and lending, through to employment services and travel. Innovation is aimed at creating efficiencies and improving customer experience. One of the major areas for fintech innovation is to make payment processes smoother and faster. In our latest eBook Laggards and Leaders: Fast-Tracking Financial Technology Innovation in a Legacy Ecosystem, we interviewed CEOS and Executives, producing an eBook to help established financial service providers fast-track new customer payments innovation. The Virtual Roundtable event followed on from this, further uncovering how banks and building societies have been responding to the post-pandemic world, where digital commerce has become the default. Customers expect their services, including payment processing, to be real-time and traceable 24/7.

Further information:

A maximum of eight attendees will attend. There’s no cost associated with participating, other than your time. You must ensure you attend with your video switched on. Given the tight timescales, we do insist that you join the session on time so there are no delays and you will be required to give your full attention for 90 mins.

What is the objective of the virtual roundtable event? To talk through topical business and technology themes with other senior leaders from similar industries and/or business functions.

What is the format of the event?

This event format is designed to inspire, guide, and motivate participants with its highly interactive nature. It is based on a format widely used by mentor membership organisations for CEOs, such as Vistage and the Academy of Chief Executives.

Beforehand, each participant will submit a thought-provoking business challenge relating to the event theme. These are circulated and voted on beforehand with the most popular two discussed at the event. Each participant will take their turn to question the challenge owner on the subject and later give their advice.

What value will I get from attending? An opportunity to hear how your peer group is tackling similar business challenges to those you are facing within your own organisation. You will make new connections and come away with fresh ideas.

Will the session be recorded? No. In full respect of the Chatham House Rules, the virtual roundtable will not be recorded. Participants need not worry about any information being shared outside of the session.
