VIRTUAL ROUNDTABLE EXPERIENCE

Avoiding the Customer Sinkhole

To conclude our thought leadership programme Customer experience: The price of payment inefficiencies, sponsored by Modulr, we held an exclusive, Crypto-industry Virtual Roundtable event on Tuesday 4th May at 9:30am BST.

This invitation-only, TechPros moderated event, brought together CEOs and industry experts from across the Crypto ecosystem. Many participants had already been featured in a research report on the topic, supported by interviews with C-Suite representatives from companies such as CEX.IO, Coinbase, Coinmode, Coinjar, Globitex, Mode and many more.

The event format is highly interactive, all participants sharing ideas and experiences with industry peers facing similar challenges and opportunities.

Topics that influenced session:

A major independent study of 200 decision makers across the UK crypto and financial services industries has identified the challenges faced as they try to navigate between investing in the technologies that will enhance the customer experience (CX) on one side, and cutting costs on the other.

› Stay at the forefront in an ultra fast-moving industry whilst juggling suppliers and regulators › Offer appropriate service to a growing range of customers, from the crypto-curious retail investor to institutional players › Innovate by integrating finance and automated payment support to services › Locate hidden payment process inefficiencies to protect key payments experiences for stakeholders

The goal of the session was to uncover the challenges and solutions of investing in technology in a time that we are reluctant to spend. We looked at how our participants are working internally to overcome the operational cost versus customer experience conundrum, while simultaneously eliminating the hidden effects of inefficient payment processes on other parts of the business.

This event supported interviews for our thought leadership programme Laggards and Leaders: Fast-Tracking Financial Technology Innovation in a Legacy Ecosystem.

Further information:

A maximum of eight attendees will attend. There’s no cost associated with participating, other than your time. You must ensure you attend with your video switched on. Given the tight timescales, we do insist that you join the session on time so there are no delays and you will be required to give your full attention for 90 mins.

What is the objective of the virtual roundtable event? To talk through topical business and technology themes with other senior leaders from similar industries and/or business functions.

What is the format of the event?

This event format is designed to inspire, guide, and motivate participants with its highly interactive nature. It is based on a format widely used by mentor membership organisations for CEOs, such as Vistage and the Academy of Chief Executives.

Beforehand, each participant will submit a thought-provoking business challenge relating to the event theme. These are circulated and voted on beforehand with the most popular two discussed at the event. Each participant will take their turn to question the challenge owner on the subject and later give their advice.

What value will I get from attending? An opportunity to hear how your peer group is tackling similar business challenges to those you are facing within your own organisation. You will make new connections and come away with fresh ideas.

Will the session be recorded? No. In full respect of the Chatham House Rules, the virtual roundtable will not be recorded. Participants need not worry about any information being shared outside of the session.
