First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the 15 technology leaders who generously contributed their time and expertise to the interviews conducted for this publication. Their valuable insights and perspectives have played a pivotal role in shaping our understanding of the current cloud landscape and the strategic challenges faced by organisations today. It is their willingness to share their knowledge that has made this study possible, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to each of them.
At SoftIron, our mission is to deliver infrastructure that builds true private cloud.
SoftIron challenges the convention established by legacy vendors, “cloud-washing” their technology, that managing a private cloud requires a large team of specialists - but even then, the result does not behave like a true cloud. HyperCloud in contrast, empowers organisations to deploy, scale, manage and consume private cloud with only a limited team of IT generalists, enabling a true cloud experience that is simple, secure, and scalable, often with considerable savings over alternate approaches.

A common and expected takeaway from the interviews is the widespread adoption of the public cloud. Leveraging public cloud often proves to be the right choice for certain kinds of workloads, applications, or data types. However, what the data also reveals is that even organisations with a stated objective of transitioning wholly to the public cloud are, in reality, also operating a private cloud, creating a hybrid environment, and expect to do so for the foreseeable future to meet regulatory, performance, sovereignty, or security requirements.
This is precisely where HyperCloud offers organisations the technology and infrastructure to build and operate their own cloud on-premises or in their preferred co-lo facility.
This delivers the same, multi-tenant, self service, cloud native experience for their developers.

Not tethered to any one public cloud vendor, able to independently scale resources, near limitlessly, yet within a modular, plug-and-play architecture that delivers full control, HyperCloud also provides the logical platform to support the multi-cloud strategies that so many of the respondents are pursuing.
The data gathered from these interviews affirms the relevance and effectiveness of this approach, demonstrating the value of our solutions in meeting the diverse needs and requirements of organisations.
Private cloud doesn't have to be so complex.
If you are currently evaluating or developing your cloud strategy and would like to gain insights from SoftIron or engage in a broader conversation about the market, we invite you to get in touch with us. Our team is always ready to provide a unique perspective and support you in navigating the complex cloud landscape.
